Laurie March's flair for home improvement and all things homeownership began at three –furnishing and remodeling her first wood dollhouse, and when she managed her first design/build –her father constructed her an enviable fort in the backyard.

Her passion for home improvement and remodeling were unearthed while working for Paige Hemmis of Extreme Makeover Home Edition and remodeling her own 1920’s Spanish style home. Seeing the challenges firsthand, the entrepreneur took over and in 2005 Laurie founded Improvemental, a project management and design firm that has been a recognized fixture in the Los Angeles remodeling scene - completing over 50 homes for a highly discerning who’s who of writers, producers, and executives in LA.

Laurie has been acknowledged as ‘40 under 40’ in Residential Remodeling by Professional Remodeler Magazine, and has been featured in Lucky Magazine, Design*Sponge and USA Today.

Today Laurie’s newest venture has led her to the Scripps Network as the personality driving HGTV Remodels’ mission to talk about real remodeling projects across the country, and as a host of ‘Good To Know’ on CookingChannelTV.com.

Dan Pashman is the creator and host of The Sporkful podcast and blog, where he discusses, debates and obsesses over food in ridiculous detail. Whether he's analyzing proper sandwich construction, ideal ice cube size, or buffet strategy, Dan's always seeking new and better ways to eat. Since launching in 2010, The Sporkful has been one of the top food podcasts on the web, and was selected by iTunes as a Best New Podcast of 2010. Dan has been featured on Food Network, Cooking Channel, ABC and NPR, among others, and was nominated for a 2012 James Beard Award. The Sporkful’s motto is, “It’s not for foodies, it’s for eaters.”

Ever since his father taught him how to make scrambled eggs, Dan has enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen. When he combined that with the obsessive nature he got from his mother, a gluttonous mad food scientist was born. As a student at Tufts University he invented such memorable dishes as the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake, Baked Breakfast Casserole Surprise, and Alcoholic Beverage #12 and 35. He has since gone on to conceive more elaborate innovations, many of which he shares at Sporkful.com.

In addition to his work on The Sporkful, Dan is a writer, reporter, producer and editor, doing both serious and satirical work covering news and politics, arts and culture, business, sports, and more. His work has been featured by NPR, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, Slate, The Huffington Post, and Sirius XM, among others. You can find more of his work at DanPashman.com. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.
