Beer experts and authors Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune are The Beer Chicks, and they are at the center of the booming craft beer world. They’re authors of The Naked Pint: An Unadulterated Guide to Craft Beer (Penguin, Nov. 2009) and of the upcoming The Naked Brewer: Fearless Homebrewing Tips, Tricks & Rule-breaking Recipes (Penguin, Oct. 2012).
The Beer Chicks are prominent beer educators, entertainers and consultants based in Los Angeles. They recently appeared as beer experts on The Cooking Channel’s Food(ography) and Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen, and will star in a one-hour special on The Cooking Channel called Eat This, Drink That, where they take to the road and create brand-new rules for pairing food with drink. Christina and Hallie met while working together at the famed Father’s Office in Santa Monica, Calif., and became fast friends over the bond they shared with their one true love, craft beer. After a long night of bartending and answering the same questions over and over again, they decided (over beers, of course) to write a book to explain beer in an accessible way, so that everyone could love craft beer as much as they do.
