Hallie Beaune

Hallie Beaune grew up in Arizona, where her first beer was from a can (and it wasn’t good). She earned a B.A. in theatre at the University of Puget Sound and moved into the world of professional theatre. Hallie’s roles in the Tony Award-winning play Metamorphoses led her to perform in the play at the famed Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

Her beer journey brought her to the beloved beer bar Father’s Office in Santa Monica, Calif., where she met fellow Beer Chick Christina Perozzi, and became a manager. At Father’s Office she taught the illustrious “F.O. Beer School” and was featured on the hit cable foodie show, After Hours with Daniel Boulud as F.O’s resident expert, and on the KNBC evening news and KTLA 5 Morning News.

Hallie is the co-executive editor of TheBeerChicks.com. She and Christina have written two books on craft beer and homebrewing, The Naked Pint and The Naked Brewer. She has been featured in Beer West Magazine, Celebrator Beer News, Imbibe magazine, Tasting Table, The Economist's More Intelligent Life, Thrillist, The Rundown, and the Los Angeles Times. Hallie and Christina have hosted many sold-out beer dinners at critically acclaimed L.A. restaurants like Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen, and also curate the L.A. Craft Beer Crawl in downtown L.A., hosted along with the 213 Nightlife Group.

Hallie currently resides in L.A. as an actress, author, beer consultant and lover of artisanal drinks and food.

Hallie’s favorite beer is an earthy and complex Orval.
