Prep Work: Julia Child's Birthday

By: Frank Samperi

Is there anything better than catching Julia Child in all of her down-to-earth glory every afternoon at 2pm?  As a matter of fact, there is, and we need to tap into your collective talents...

Next week - August 15 - is Julia Child's birthday and we plan to celebrate all week long.

Food People:  We want to see your photo of a favorite Julia Child recipe that you made. Post your pic to our Facebook wall by this Friday, August 6th, tell us how you made it or came to love it, and we'll round up our favorites in a gallery dedicated to Julia ( with links and love back to your blog or site if you like).

Let's get her party started with Julia's Cherry Clafouti by Divya Vikram of Dil Se...

Now, it's your turn. What have you got? Share on Facebook or post a link to your blog below (and make sure your photo is posted in all its high-res glory—620 pixels wide should cut it.)

And catch Julia Child every weekday at 2pm ET on Cooking Channel.

***UPDATE:  Julia's birthday week is here! Check out the gallery of food people cooking up Julia's recipes!
