Standing over a grill all day can get a bit steamy. Battle back against the hot coals with these too-cool summer soups.

1. Green Gazpacho: This soup is like a slurpable guacamole, made with a lush puree of green grapes, cucumbers, parsley and avocado, topped with toasted almonds and pepper (pictured above).

2. Chilled Carrot Soup: Cumin, corriander and coconut milk give this refreshing carrot puree an Indian flourish.

3. Prosciutto and Melon Soup: Baked prosciutto crisps add crunch and complementary color to the sweet tomato-cantaloupe blend.

4. Gazpacho with Maine Lobster: Take this Spanish soup to the Cape with lobster medallions, crisp croutons and a snap of cool vegetables at the center.
