How to Make an Herb Basting Brush

These basting brushes are as easy on the eyes as they are on the stomach.

What You'll Need:

Here's what you'll need for Italian flavors: 2 sprigs of rosemary, sage, marjoram, oregano, thyme and wet kitchen twine

Bundle the sprigs together

Take a couple of sprigs of each herb and bundle them together, making sure the ends are flush.

Wrap with Wet Kitchen Twine

Then take a piece of kitchen twine and wrap it around the end. Make sure to wet the twine in a bowl of water first so that when it won't catch fire on the grill.

Dip In Oil

To use the brush, just dip it into the marinade or oil of your choice.

Brush On Oil

Then, brush the oil or marinade onto your grilled meats and vegetables.

Try it On Bread

Make your own zesty, herbed crostinis by using the herb basting brush on sliced pieces of bread as well.

Use as a Garnish

Once the meat and vegetables are cooked, place the herbs beside your meat or veggies as a fresh garnish.
