Season chicken with salt and pepper. Toss with a 2 tablespoons olive oil and brown on both sides in a wide fry pan or skillet over high heat. Remove from heat, add oil, thyme, and garlic cloves. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

So easy to make and extremely good! Everyone I have made it for loved it, some have told me it was like something at a nice restaurant, others have requested the recipe. Even non-garlic lovers, who were put off by the name, have said they loved it! Kid friendly as well! I wish I knew more recipes this simple to do and this great tasting! The only thing I have changed after making it exactly as described is that I use a lot less oil before putting it in the oven. In my opinion, it doesn't need half as much as the recipe says.

I serve with nice warm bread for dipping and for spreading on that roasted garlic!! Delicious tender chicken very yummy!!
