I've never made biscuits from scratch, but these were so easy to make! They were so soft and delicious that my family, of very picky eaters, ate them all, even after Thankiving evening when my daughter and I made them. I'm going to make them (I said "make" them instead of "try to make them"again today. I want more.

This is the best biscuit I've ever tasted. It is extremely tender and light inside, and has a wonderful flavor. I didn't have a biscuit cutter, so used a coffee cup that was about 3" and it was the perfect size. The recipe says to bake them at 450 but Alton said in the show to bake them at 400, so I used a 400 degree oven and it was perfect. I baked them for about 15 minutes and they browned perfectly.
