An amazing recipe. I used brown lentils and it was delicious. The rich depth of flavor here is well worth the preparation time. This side dish stole the show at dinner and was tastier than any lentil dish I've had at my local Indian restaurant. Thank you Anjum!

This is an excellent and extremely delicious recipe. It was easy to make but there were still lots of layers of flavor. When I am pressed for time, I do use a pressure cooker to help the dal cook faster and I have also added a small amount zucchini in the last 10 minutes to get my veggies in.
