I made this recipe exactly per the directions for a dinner party. It was delicious and it was a very attractive drink! Everyone asked me for the recipe. I do not understand people who do not follow the directions and then complain about the outcome. :

Have made this 3 times, and each time I didn't have any fresh thyme, so added a sprinkle of powdered to the mix in the shaker. First time I made it (except for the thyme according to the recipe--it was TOO sweet and TOO vodkay. Second time I cut the vodka to 4 oz. and used sweet syrup at 1/2 the strength of what was written. It was better, but not sweet enough. Third time was the trick--used 4 oz. of vodka and syrup made with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water. Now it was GREAT!!!
