I love this meal. The only thing I changed was omitting the hot peppers so my husband would eat it. I bought saffron at World Market. A small container of threads was only $5 and I am really glad I didn't skip this ingredient.

Delicious!! I didn't want to splurge on the saffron so I omitted that, still tasted amazing! Even better the next day and the chicken just falls off the bone.

I usually love RR's recipes but did not care for this one. The broken spaghetti lent a textural element that I did not care for and detracted from the comfort food element. The dish was also very fatty, with the skin on thighs as recommended, so the chicken did not soak up the sauce. Also the dish in general was not as flavorful as her dishes usually are. Like the idea of Arroz con Pollo but definitely have had better.
