    After watching the rerun of the program, I looked up our faves from before. This is not the same recipe from a year or two ago. It's not as good at all. The bacon fat was TOO much. It tastes like your licking the bacon pan. I like having the bacon chunks in there but I ended up dipping the cookies in chocolate to mellow the bacon grease so I wouldn't have to throw them out. I'm not sure why the recipe was changed. The bacon, candied first and put on top of the cookie before baking was great. I'll go back to that.

    Would have given this 5 stars but the bacon flavor was just subtle. I used thick cut bacon which allowed for a nice bite of bacon when eating the cookie. Using good quality chocolate really makes this cookie. Great recipe

    This a an excellent cookie! The recipe was easy and the taste is different in a great way. I substituted semi-sweet chips for bittersweet chocolate chopped and I candied my bacon. I've gotten nothing but rave reviews!!!

    These are really good; they have a subtle bacon flavor. I think the next time I make them I will cut the butter in half since they are a tad on the greasy side....

    The combination of crispy bacon and chocolate chunks is really working though.......
