I wasn't sure if I would like this but I really enjoyed it. Its not very sweet at all but very refreshing. The almonds give it a slightly chewy texture, so if you don't like that, leave them out. Also, I find with all these cold drink recipes that simple syrup with the spices in it, if there are any spices called for in the recipe, works a little better than the sugar.

This is a refreshing shake recipe. I didn't have star anise but added a little honey.
