I did not use popsicle sticks, made the lamb as patties so perhaps cooked it a little less than Bal as it didn't need to hold to a stick. Barbecue'd and served with an eggplant curry. Cherries are not in season so used a handful of frozen, half a mango, luckily had 1 peach, used Meyer lemon. FABULOUS MEAL! The lamb was beyond amazing, juicy, flavorful. The best lamb patty I have ever eaten. Superb. The chutney was fantastic. Can't wait to try more of Bal's dishes. No problems with meat coming apart as with last reviewer. Ground my own spices-used fennugreek seeds, good dose salt/pepper. Flavor superb!

Flavors pretty good, but grilling a disaster. Followed recipe exactly with the exception that I used ground fenugreek as I could not find the leaves. The chutney was superb,I had to use frozen fruit as it is March. The flavor of the meat was pretty good, but I think a bit more of the key spices would be in order. My problem, which results in the 3 stars is that the meat fell apart on the indoor grill. No matter how delicately I handled them when turning, they all disintegratede to a degree. VERY disappointing. I will try again and use an egg to bind the meat. Super potential.
