I saw this on TV this morning and made it for Easter dinner for my family! Awesome and diet friendly! Better than cream of mushroom soup and French fried onions in a can! Good work Bobby thank you.

This was fantastic!!! My husband doesn't like green beans that much but he absolutely loved it. We didn't add the sour cream and it was just as delicious.

Very good. Next time will use 1/2 cup Parm. and 1/2 cup bread crumbs.
Might try spreading a 1/2 cup of shredded Pepper Jack Cheese, then put the breadcrumbs on.

I made this recipe yesterday for Thanksgiving. I will never make the traditional Green Bean Casserole again. The flavor was outstanding, it look beautiful and was so easy. Thanks for all you lightening up of your mom's recipes.

Loved this revamp of an old classic. I used what I had on hand: greek yogurt instead of sour cream, cheddar instead of parm, and I also added a splash of white wine to the mushrooms. Thought this was well worth the effort and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a healthier, fresher alternative to canned fried onions and soup.
I think you could use frozen green beans instead of fresh with good results.

Very good! I used no salt canned green beans so I could control the sodium. Was much easier than using fresh beans. Also added a dash of worchestire.

They say you're not supposed to try a new recipe on friends, but this one I was pretty confident would come out good and it did! The one thing I tweaked was that I seemed to remember Bobby putting in freeze dried onions in the topping to give that onion flavor like the typical french fried onions that are normally on the top. My friends didn't even know that it was low fat and they went back for seconds and some for thirds! At that point, I don't think it's considered low cal because you still have to watch your portion size but it was a huge compliment to me as a cook. Thanks, Bobby!

It's best if you don't think of this as a traditional green bean casserole. It took me an hour start to finish to make it. 20 minutes to trim the beans, 20 minutes of cooking them in the chicken broth, prepping the other ingredients... It's good, but not worth the trouble. I'd suggest low fat/low sodium cream of mushroom soup and hitting the gym instead.
