My crowd ate these chili dogs so quickly that I had to make another batch just so I could eat one! I substituted one can of tomatoes for diced tomatoes with green chilies and used a half pound of 99% white ground chicken with a half pound of ground bison which gave the chili a really good beefy flavor. The spice measurements do need to be adjusted to your palate and don't be afraid to add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper. Enjoy!

The Chili for the Chili dog, works great. 'A' for effort and concept, but as chili go's needs work. Somethings in life are not meant to be healthy and chili is not. You can get it close, but. I modify the recipe, I added one 10 ounce can of Rotel (mild. and a 2nd can of red kidney beans, with 1 cup of veg stock . I also added a tad bit more chili powered once complete for taste. Overall has the texture of chili, but its kind'a different. Would redo, but not a favorite.
