This was a first for me, and will be making it again! I also used fenugreek leaves, and cut up my chicken thighs. Thought the sauce was a little thin, so just let it reduce with the lid off for another 5 minutes. I would suggest to anyone who hasn't cooked a lot of Indian food like myself, to have everything prepped ahead. Although my unpreparedness took me a few more moments, it was easy, delicious and made my kitchen smell fantastic.

Great recipe and easy to make. I used Fenugreek leaves rather than seeds (as I believe Bal did on the television show. My husband says to make this a regular item. Delicious!

I followed the recipe exactly and did not substitute any spices. The aroma and spices in this dish are fantastic. It truly is better the next day, and the next.

The one thing I learned while researching the fenugreek seeds is that if you can't find them, eliminate them from the recipe. There is no substitution. Do not use mustard seed. The fenugreek seeds and mustard have very different tastes.

I found the ground seeds at Whole Foods for less than $5.

The next time I make this, I will cut the chicken into 1-2 inch cubes, making it easier to eat. Also, it can be made into a stew simply by dipping the meat into flower before cooking, that will thicken the liquid.

What a great taste and easy recipe. Than you Bal.

Holy moly! what a beautiful mix of spices in this dish. Tip, it's better the next day! I baked a beer bread to go with it and shared it with others! I love these spices!

I really liked the aroma while cooking but the end product was a lacking a little flavor, but I attribute it to the excess water. I would add 1 and 1/4 cup next time...was too soupy. Fun to make tho : Also, I added a little Greek yogurt to the plate and it put a little oomph to it,

Smelled delicious cooking, but it did not have as much flavor as I thought. My grocery did not have fenugreek seeds, so a substitution suggested to me was mustard seeds, so I used that. Maybe that was the difference. I also would cut the liquid some or maybe try using canned tomatoes for a bit more flavor. It was ok, but nothing overly impressive.
