Chuck has a really good pie recipe. However this recipe isn't the one he has in his book. Someone messed up somewhere and didn't transfer it over correctly.

    His cook book says...

    1 cup light brown sugar
    2 tbsp flour
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup maple syrup
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    1 cup of pecans
And a pie shell his book doesn't list the items for the pie shell.

    Preheat oven to 350

Whisk together the sugar and flour into a small bowl

In a large bowl beat the eggs, stir in the maple syrup and cream. add the sugar mixture and stir to combine. Pour the filling into the pie shell. Arrange the pecans on top.

Bake for about 40 minutes, until the filling is bubbly, the pecans are a little bit crystallized, and the crust is golden brown. This pie will be wobbly when you take it out of the oven but will set lightly when cooled. Let cool before cutting.

From those that tasted it said it was good but it never set. Had it in almost an hr looked ok didn't want to burn crust so thought it would set as it cooled. It didn't. It was runny :(. Need to figure something out to thicken it.

Extremely runny. Filling needs more eggs.

Nice, simple recipe and delicious. My husband ate the entire thing by himself in a day and a half! Make sure to let the pie cool completely so it sets up.

The easiest, tastiest pecan pie recipe I have ever eaten. You can even reduce the sugar to half if you do not want it too sweet and it comes out perfect!
