Oh my! In my family we rate things from 1 to 10. This is so danged delicious that everyone gave it a 10. Thanks, Chuck. It really is a winner and so EASY! So the best I can do here is 5, but just know it's really a 10 everyone.

Casual dinner for 10: I had to use challah because the local specialty store was out of brioche. I had to settle for cremini instead of morels. I had leftover asiago from a quiche that I decided to add. Most importantly, I did not have truffles (but I did have truffle oil. So, challah is more tender (I think than brioche but pudding takes a bit longer to firm up. The cremini were fine. I am not sure what the asiago added, but perhaps some more depth of flavor? And I doused the bread chunks in truffle oil before doing the milk/egg mix and let all sit overnight. Instead of one big loaf, I cut out parchment paper circles about twice as wide as the muffin tin's and fitted them into each muffin mold. Then I scooped about 1/2-3/4 cup of bread pudding into the parchment paper, baked at 350 for 45min-ish, let them sit in the muffin tin until cool enough to handle, and served them individually. I didn't have time (or energy to do the poached eggs. Next time. Thanks Chuck!
