I can tell this would be tasty but I'm not experienced with the wrappers (first time, in fact. What did I do wrong? The filling was great, but after wrapping, I used a steamer insert (didn't have bamboo steamer. The wrappers just shriveled and exposed the filling. I tried pan frying very briefly before steaming, which helped a little, but really I've FAILED on the wrappers. Any suggestions?

I stick to a mostly pescatarian diet so I did not add pork to my version of this recipe. Overall, I loved it!! I would use a little less sriracha since ours orange sauce was a little too spicy. Also, I like to make my own wonton wrappers, which I would highly suggest doing since it is so easy. My husband and I absolutely loved this recipe and will definitely use it again.

The orange dipping sauce was beautiful, an unexpected kick to it. The peanut dipping sauce was well received. I changed the dumpling recipe slightly (vegetarian style. It always impresses the guests.

These were delicious! My batch only made 18 dumplings, not 50. The spicy orange sauce is HOT HOT HOT. The texture of the dumpling is kind of weird, like a meatball wraped in a wonton. But so much flavor.
