Directions

Cut the chicken into small 2-bite pieces and place in a bowl. Pour the lemon juice over the chicken to cover, and let marinate.

Combine the flour, salt and yeast together for the tempura batter. Slowly mix in 2 cups cold water until you have a beautiful thick batter. Cover with a damp tea towel and let rise, 45 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat dry. Stir into the tempura batter until the chicken is fully coated.

Heat olive oil in a medium pan until hot. Fry the chicken in batches until beautifully golden on both sides, 2 to 3 minutes.

My favorite fried chicken recipe. It's very delicious and easy to make as well as versatile. It's great for a snack or to add to a meal.

AMAZING AND SIMPLY MUITO BOM! So easy to prepare, believe it or not, I have used a pancake batter thinned out with water the first time because it was what I had, and my boyfriend LoVeD it! : But the second time I had tempura mix in my cupboard and it was when my family was coming to visit and ALL LOVED and RAVED!!! my mother is Korean (and previous restaurant owner and cook of my life! and she was impressed at the lemon flavor that wasn't overpowering, and I did serve it with thai sweet and spicy chili sauce! You can put your own varied twist on it! It's another tried and true favorite in our home, it can't get easier, oh and I only use organic/hormone free chicken breast
