    It was great and very simple! I used 2 strips of bacon because pancetta is hard to find out here.

    We loved this recipe. My husband grew up with a little Italian grandma that made him pasta e fagioli as a kid and he said this dish smelled and tasted like hers. My only complaint was the pancetta. It seemed to stay tough even after cooking the recipe as directed. I don't know if it was the pancetta I purchased or what but I wasn't a fan of the tough meat. The flavor is fantastic and I will make it again!
