I wrote the Cooking Channel and made them aware that the recipe didn't say when to add the saffron infused stock. They wrote back and were appreciative that I brought that to their attention. They got the info for me and put the step in the recipe!!!! AWESOME! So is this dish. OMG!!! It is a family favorite now, it ROCKS!!!!!!

I'm not sure how anyone could say they didn't notice the saffron in the dish, saffron has been called the flavor of the Gods. It's MAGNIFICENT and has a flavor all it's own. You can't substitute it, and you can't omit it. If you think it's too expensive, just use a little less. I never make rice without a touch of it, it's my favorite flavoring. Once you taste it, it will surely become a staple in your pantry. Please make this dish the way the recipe is written, way to go Gabriele, you're an awesome cook!!!

Great pasta dish......
Did not want the saffron however, my family is not a fan.
Didn't miss it whatsoever.......
You do need more liquid on this one. Increase the wine to 1 cup and use 1.5 cups of Chicken stock instead of veg stock. Add some crushed red pepper also for a kick.....
Great pasta and sausage flavor.
Tip: add 1/4 cup of grated parmesean on top of the pasta before you stir it into the sauce......than add more to each dish....
Bellisimo......

Are you kidding me???? AMAZING!!! Did not follow the internet recipe but followed the episode. Increasing both the vegetable stock and wine to a cup(not 1/2 c as noted makes sense for one pound of pasta. Liquid is needed. So comforting <3 loved it!

LOVE THIS RECIPE!!! I have made it many times now and it has quickly become a family favorite (I even have cravings for it - LOL. If at all possible, do not substitute the saffron....yes, it's expensive but you can make this meal 3 to 4 times with the jar you buy. For me, that helps justify the cost bit more. The saffron adds such a unique and pleasant flavor to this dish and I believe makes this meal.

Made this the other night and really enjoyed it. I used the poor mans saffron; turmeric. It worked out well just use a little bit. I looked into the saffron but it was TOO expensive. I also used chicken stock instead of vegetable as that's what I had on hand.
I will make this again. I just love watching the show!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish. I watch the show and my daughter chose to make this dish with her father who is a chef, for our saturday family/game night. It was so good and the whole family including our 2yr old loved it. This will definately be added to our family favorites.
