    I have made this twice now and we absolutely love it. I too used the 190% Everclear so it is very strong. I think it is kind of syrupy and thick. Did anyone else's turn out like this. I think maybe I heated the water up too much. Any thoughts?

    I made the limoncello and used Everclear, but not 75% volume alcohol. I could only find Everclear in 190% volume alcohol. It will put u on ur butt and make u forget what u say. It is REALLY GOOD THO. It is such a beautiful color. It turned that pretty yellow color when I added the simple sugar. It taste nice 2! Just do not drink alot or else.......... hehehehehehehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks 4 the recipe it is a big HIT.

    I used oranges instead of lemons and it is fantastic!!! I will probably try lemons next time...I will never buy from the store again!!!

    I live in RI and I could only get the 190 proof for the everclear. it was very strong and next time i will add more sugar water liquid so it isnt too strong. But It was a very good college graduation for my brother who had studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I plan to make orangecello this summer. :

    This is the best Limoncello I've ever had besides at Buca's. I am now making my second batch since family and friends ask for this. I will never buy this again, I will only make home-made and with this recipe! This is very refreshing and oh-so-yumminess!!!

    I am so excited to try this, however, it doesn't say when exactly to add the everclear? Do you add it initially with the lemon peels?

    I made this and it took some time to peel the lemons,but it was worth it!!!!! The waiting and checking was about to get to,but then it was finally ready and taste so wonderful!!!!!!! Everyone how likes a nice mild drink should make this and it also great to give some bottles to family and friends. thank you so much for this recipe!!!!!!
