    I felt like the apple needed to cook longer. I've never made carmelso first try I burned it second time, I'm not sure what went wrong but it was super hard yet had the best flavor. We were cracking it and eating it like candy. I'll try making this again because despite all this, it was delicious!

    It's been years since I first made this amazingly simple and delicious dessert. Being reminded of it about this time each year, I find myself happily making it for family and friends finish off a great meal. It is easy and cooks up while we all sit back and appreciate the foods devoured before dessert. Also, try making it on a cold fall afternoon; why not have a little dessert before dinner or supper?
