These were fantastic! No one would know that they aren't "really" macarons unless you tell them! (Ok maybe a french chef would be able to tell. I followed the cookie recipe to the letter, but I couldn't make these beautiful delicate cookies from scratch and then just slap Nutella in between them!! Who does that?! I made a chocolate ganache as the filling which is the real way to do macarons so it makes them seem that much more authentic.
