I have lost track of how many times I have made this recipe since I first saw it on this site. They are OMG good! I always get compliments on them and any function I have brought them to I never have any left to bring home. They have become a replacement for scallop potatoes when I bake a ham, so much easier and in my opinion, tastier!
On a last note 1) I often put in two 8" baking dishes and freeze one to cook later, works out great! 2) The cornflake topper is the best and I now use it on all of my cream based casserole like tuna noodle etc.

This is delicious. I normally don't care for the flavor of garlic combined with potatoes, but I like to follow recipes as written the first time I make them. The garlic in this dish just can't be left out. It makes the dish. I bought pre-grated cheeses so this was a breeze to put together. It's also just my husband and I so I split the recipe between 3 smaller casserole dishes and froze two of them. I don't think they'll be in the freezer long at all. We both loved this dish.
