This dish was incredible!! A true hit with my guests for Christmas Day brunch. The pizza didn't get quite as thin as on Giada's show but it still turned out amazing!!
Bought my dough at Publix the day before, left it in the fridge and removed when ready. It was about 12" wide and a quarter inch thick. The dough rose in the oven and turned into about 1" thick pizza but everyone said that was better! Produced 8 generous slices.
Fruits: (1 container of each berry I let my blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries marinate in about 1 tbsp of sugar in the fridge for 1 1/2 hours. (Don't add too much sugar. They'll turn to juice.
Cinnamon-sugar: I didn't add the vanilla bean but whatever. Lol
Mascarpone spread: I didn't measure out the lemon zest or juice BUT it was perfect. Used 1 lemon. It tasted a little lemony at first but after spreading it on the pizza and adding the toppings it really balanced out nicely. Light and refreshing.
