I have made these cookies several times for family gatherings. I do not add the chocolate kiss on top. To keep the cost reasonable ( Nutella and Hershey Kisses bring the cost of this cookie up! I have drizzled melted chocolate on them after they have baked and cooled. I have also rolled them in chocolate sprinkles prior to baking them. Both variations were a big hit. You really don't need the "kiss" on top.
Besides, that reminded me of the peanut butter blossoms and this cookie is in a league above the blossoms. They also hold their freshness for a long time in an air tight container. Delicious!
