The taste is mild and slightly minty which is good however it is quite soupy and lack zing and a pronounced fennel taste. Even upon sitting it did not thicken sufficiently so we served it as a soup. Frankly, not worth the effort or more importantly the cost of the fennel do do again.

I never thought I liked fennel, but this is delicious. When you cook the fennel, it mellows the licorice flavor. I think I over processed it and it was thin at first but thickened upon sitting. Loved it!
