I have always disliked peas, but when I saw Giada cooking it on her show it looked really good. I made it the other night and it was DELICIOUS! Very flavorful and filling! I diverted from the recipe a tad though. I only had dried basil on hand and I used an immersion blender (after taking the stock pot off the heat instead of a conventional blender. In the future, I would love to try this with cauliflower.

I was surprised by the flavor of this soup. The peas were sweet and the basil added a good depth to the flavor. Not sure if I pureed it enough as the peas actually had some texture, but was still good.
