Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon prune jam
  • 2 slices cranberry walnut bread
  • 4 slices fresh pear
  • 2 1/2 ounces Great Hill Blue cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons clarified butter

Directions

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.

Spread the prune jam on 1 slice of cranberry walnut bread and place the sliced pears on top. Crumble the blue cheese on the other slice. Place each half into the oven for 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and place the halves together. Pat half the butter on one side of the sandwich and griddle it on medium heat until nicely browned. Repeat on the opposite side. Let the sandwich cool for about 30 seconds to set, and then slice in half.
