TOTAL TIME: 20 min
Prep: 15 min
Cook: 5 min
1 3/4 ounces fresh eucalyptus leaves, finely chopped, plus more for garnish
1 3/4 ounces fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
1 3/4 ounces fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Peel of 2 lemons, plus more for garnish
1 1/4 cups olive oil
14 1/8 ounces fine-grained sea salt
4 teaspoons vitamin C powder
Combine the eucalyptus, mint and rosemary in a pan with the black pepper and lemon peel. Add the olive oil, stir, and then heat over medium heat for 2 minutes.
Strain the oil through a piece of muslin set over a sieve into a bowl.
Mix together the sea salt and vitamin C powder in a bowl. Add most of the oil (reserving a little to seal the jar) and stir well. Place the mixture in a sterilized glass jar with an airtight lid and press down well.
Decorate the top with a few eucalyptus leaves and slices of lemon rind. Pour a layer of the remaining oil on top of the salt scrub to keep it airtight.
Apply to wet skin in the bath or shower, when needed. Scrub, and then rinse off well with warm water.
Keeps for 6 months or up to 1 year in the refrigerator.
