Sorry to the other reviews...I liked it. You can always substitute some things to your liking, like tomato sauce plus sofrito for ketchup. Good job Ingrid, no complaints at my house :

This is not a true arroz con pollo recipe. Arroz con pollo has no lemon pepper, wortcestshire, carrots nor carrots. If your using chicken broth, leave out the beer. Leave out her 'delicioso' adobo, make your own sofrito and use cumin. This is more of a doctored recipe, and not for the better if I may add... Check other sites for the recipe.

This smelled alot better than it tasted. I think the ketchup threw off the flavor. I only used half of a cup but it was still a bit too much.

I think there are a couple of mistakes in the recipe - 1. Correction - use the chicken broth (listed inthe recipe not water to bring the liquid up to 4 cups before you add the rice. 2. Correction - use 2 cups of rice not 3 - in the current recipe 4 cups of liquid is not not enough liquid for 3 cups of rice, and three cups of cooked rice is way to much rice for the about of meat and vegs. I also need to add additional spices to bring up the flavor. And I doubled the vegs too. Over all it's a good base recipe.
