I have made this recipe several times, minus the ham. It is very tasty. One thing, get a good tasting feta. The last time I made the salad I bought the feta from the grocery store already crumbled. It was too strong and salty. Go to the greek store and get one of their creamy fetas (domestic or Bulgarian.
