These are just as I remember them as a child and I had forgotten all about them! Very cake like, which is not a bad thing. Although the orange comes thru, you are just not sure what the other flavor is- carrots!! Great for kids and adults. I cut back on some of the times for mixing and did 1/2t vanilla and 1/2t lemon extract but otherwise stuck to the recipe. The color of these is really unique and the icing is perfect.

Really good flavor with the orange zest, but there are a lot of other cookies I would rather make. These aren't really cookies either. It's almost like you're eating the top of a cupcake.

These cookies are delicious. I used about half the orange zest than the recipe called and it was still pretty strong. I also substituted 4 oz. of cream cheese for half the butter in the frosting. Yum!
