    This IS the Better Homes & Gardens recipe. It has an extra egg yoke, which should if anything make it a little thicker. I usually use 3/4 sugar, especially with sweetened coconut, etc. You must be patient for it to thicken, but every once in a while it just doesn't want to set, Alton could probably tell us why, lol

    I've made this twice, and the filling didn't set up well either time. It is much like the recipe in the old Better Home and Gardens cookbook I have, and will go back to that one. The flavor was good, though....
