It's an interesting flavor combination. I've never been sold on the use of cucumber as a dessert or mixed drink flavor. I always taste a slight bitter vegetably undertone. Lavendar is also an acquired taste. I don't dislike it but it kind of reminds me of dishwashing detergent. So did cilantro but I've made myself to really like cilantro now. It is a unique flavor combination. And despite what I mentioned, it is quite refreshing and light.

Oh Kelsey, subtle yet complex flavors never elude you. I made this version of your Granita today, and my goodness. There were many aspects of this dish that I felt were brilliant. First was the simplicity in preparation. No clunky small appliances, no fuss, just down to earth goodness. The lavender just made the whole thing burst into clean, simplistically delicate grown-up snow cones. It's over a hundred degrees here, and as you can probably imagine, they were a hit with my (veggie hating family. Go ahead, give it a try. Say goodbye, and good riddance to that high fructose corn syrup-peddling snow cone stand.
