Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.

2.Combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each, until thoroughly blended.

3.Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture until blended. Stir in the chocolate morsels. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

4.Bake in preheated oven until an inserted toothpick comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Remove, and cool pan on wire rack before cutting.

5.To make tiered cakes: using a small, medium, and large biscuit cutter cut out 3 circles. Top brownie circles on top of each other from large too small. Dust with powdered sugar and top with a cherry or raspberry.

I agree with the other reviewers and this is a delicious recipe for fudgy brownies! I made the recipe exactly as written and I wouldn't change it.

AMAZING!!! I just cannot express enough just how perfect this was... I was a little skeptical considering there were only four reviews before me, but I'm truly a believer in this five star rating. If I could give it more stars, I would.

I had to omit the chocolate morsels since I didn't have any on hand, and I don't care for coffee flavor... But simply leaving them out and not substituting it for anything was just fine!!! You will NOT be disappointed in this recipe if you follow it to the "T".

Just in case the title isn't enough for one to assume the texture of this recipe, this brownie recipe is FAR from light and airy. If you're looking for a more cake-like recipe, this is NOT for you... This is SUPER fudgey and dense.
