I tried this and these came out fabulous!!!!!!!! They were gone in a flash, because everyone loved them. Chilling the dough for about half an hour made it easier to handle. GREAT RECIPE.

I followed the directions exactly and the cookies came out delicious! Not dry at all. I especially loved them when they were still warm and the chocolately center was still gooey.

Only criticism is that I had to throw out half of the powdered sugar-peppermint mixture. It made twice as much as I needed.

Just made these for the first time. After reading some of the reviews I changed the recipe slightly so the cookie wouldn't lack flavor or be too dry. I added 1/2 teaspoon of extract and 3 tablespoons of milk to the batter. This made the batter come together better and aided in bonding the cookie. Made these for a cookie swap and would definitely make them again.

Delicious and simple to make, will be my cookie this year for my annual Cookie Swap! They are a bit crumbly but that's all the butter, they're a shortbread type...

Recipe was easy to make but cookie was very dry and crumbled and Hershey kiss not gooey like I expected, it was dry as well. Cookie had ok flavor just did not like texture. Have tried other recipes from Kelsey and were very good.

Very easy to make. . I crushed the peppermint canes in my coffee grinder which were perfect Taste was good but they were very crumbly. Kind of a sandy feeling. They still will look nice on my cookie platter.I did not use the chocolate kisses, just made them as is.

Unfortunately this recipe is tasteless and very dry. I even had my husband and 2 children taste test these cookies for me and they agreed with me that they were not worth the time or effort. I have tried other recipes by kelsy and they were great. This one is not one of her best.
