I absolutely "loved" this episode about gifts. I too love to give gifts that I have made. After watching this episode I made a batch of pies and they were awesome! I have located a place on line for whole vanilla beans that are very reasonable so I will continue with all your ideas. I do have one question if anyone caught this episode. The receipe is not listed with the others for today but I thought there was one for vanilla extract using vodka and the beans. I'm planning on getting a jump on the holidays.

Thank you Kelsey! Such a simple idea but was such a surprise for the people I made them for! I was able to individualize the pies. Some of the pies were cherry and some peach. Everyone loved them and they were cooked perfectly.
