Made it last night - minus the ginger. Wife is on a diet, my 2 year old won't even try it and my 5 year old is at school. It won't be here when he gets back. Very refreshing.

Great flavor combination! Kelsey always puts a different spin on traditional flavor combinations. Sometimes watermelon can be one note, so the lime really brightens it. The lime and ginger takes it to another level. I made this as a sorbet and added 2-3 tablsepoon of vodka to prevent it from being too hard. I can't remember if I strained it or not but I think it'd be fine either way. A great flavor combination from the traditional.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! One of my favorite recipes for the summer!
I used a juicer for the watermelon instead of a blender and that seemed to be easier and less time consuming, plus you get a slightly different consistency that way.

This was my first try with granita and I loved it! Very easy and low maintenance and a very fresh flavor. Will definitely make this all summer!

I made this for dessert for a 4th of July party. It got rave reviews from everyone that had it! I did have to use a little more sugar because my watermelon was not very sweet. Overall it had a really nice flavor, and even my brother who is an extremely picky eater said it wasnt bad! I did feel that it had a bit too much of the ginger flavor though, I would have prefered more lime. It was really low maintanance, the only thing was I kept having to hop out of the pool to fork it every half an hour.
