Fabulous! Just make sure you use very thin bacon strips. Depending on where you live they may call it "hotel slices". Here in the south we have a certain brand which makes a perfect "hotel", thin-sliced strip of bacon. Unfortunately I guess I can't mention the name. If you use a thicker strip it won't do as well in the oven. It will take too long to crisp, and the prune will really dry up. Anyway, wonderful finger food for the holidays. But I had no doubt from Laura. I just love the show and all of her recipes. She has really turned me on to French cooking. Thanks!

I used turkey bacon (I wanted healthy, and figs (because I couldn't find any prunes. Adjusted the temperature because of substitutions 425 degrees at 15 minutes. Great tasting, easy to make, fast, and few ingredients. This is my kind of recipe.

Savory and satisfying. The almond gives the texture a fulfilling feeling. Juices from the bacon make it a hearty appetizer, great with white wine!
