I followed the recipe exactly, using a chardonnay. Wow, we're on our second bottle. Thanks, Laura.

I was very careful to get off all of the pith and then I used a German Riesling (actually used the same one to make Laura Calder's Coq au Riesling. My husband and I are very happy with the results! I only used the orange peel as I didn't have any whole coriander in the house when I decided to make this.

This is the same recipe for making Lemoncello. But instead of using orange, you use lemons, and instead of wine, you use vodka, more sugar and no coriander. I let it sit 2 wks too, and shake it everyday. Strain it and enjoy!! If it's anything like the Lemoncello, you definitely have to remove every piece of the white part of the peel, or it WILL be bitter.

It had a very strong bitter flavor. Maybe I got some pith in there or something, but it was not tasty...
