Loved it! Easy to pick up, one bite appetizer. Perfect for a cocktail party. It is beautiful and definitely different. We eat very low carb, but splurged with the apple. I carmalized the apple in ghee and used erythritol for the sugar to keep the carbs down.
I'm going to experiment to see if I can make these ahead and reheat at the last minute. If it comes out as good, this will be an A+++++ recipe.

This is a fantastic recipe! I live a gluten free lifestyle, so I used a gluten free sausage, and this was a tasty appetizer to serve and all of my friends enjoyed it!

since i love to cook and love to eat more...the time came that Weight Watchers had to be engaged. because of that i made these with turkey sausage and used a butter and sugar substitute to fry the apples. even with those big flavor changers these are quick and tasty. the hubby loved them and i will do these again. drop-in friendly!

I enjoyed the sweet/savory flavor, my daughter said it was "pretty" and even the picky eaters in my family rated it as a "hit"! It was very qick and easy to fix. Great!
