A very fine dessert. Just don't drop the pears! The slow, decadent soak in wine creates a splat like you've never seen!

Delicious. My only advice is to add a little more honey than she says, until it is to your own taste.

This was just wonderful. I took it to a party and the ladies thought I had spent all afternoon on it. I added a little softened cream cheese to sweetened whipped cream and the combination was so delicious.
It is a beautiful presentation, and so easy to make.

This is the most amazing dessert I have ever made. It is so simple, yet takes your breath away. Why isn't the Cooking Channel marketing this for Valentine's day? Gentleman, if you want to propose, make this for your sweetheart and she will definitely say yes. Laura Calder has tapped into the rustic, sophistication of French cooking and delivers it to you in an manner both accessible and enticing to the average cooks among us. Kudos to you Laura!
