Directions

Grease an 8-by-8-by-2-inch pan. Line with parchment paper, making sure it overlaps the sides so it is easy to take out the fudge once it has set.

Add the butter, brown sugar, milk and marshmallows to a medium pan over low heat to melt gently. Once the sugar has dissolved, turn up the heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 to 6 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and add the chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute, then stir the mixture together until the chocolate has melted. Pour into the prepared pan and let cool for 2 to 3 hours.

When it is set, remove the fudge from the pan, cut into 25 squares and serve.

Aw, man! This thing came out hard as a ROCK! And when I went to throw it out--because you can believe that I wouldn't serve this to someone unless I wanted them to laugh me off the block--it landed in the garbage can with a klunky thud. Hers looked pillowy and delicious. The taste was ok, but what good does that do you when you can't even cut through the "fudge"?! I watched the episode several times before making this and I believe that perhaps there's something lost in translation with the measurements. 2 1/3 cups brown sugar seems like a whole lot...
UPDATE: DON'T MAKE THIS RECIPE! I compared this one to the BBC version and the conversions are completely wrong! It's 1 1/2 cups brown sugar and ONE--NOT FIVE!!!--cups of marshmallows. I didn't check more and I refuse to waste more time and money on this, but I say DON'T even bother with this nonsense.
