Excellent recipe! So much lighter than using store bought Manicotti shells. I used a mild Italian sausage instead of the ground sirloin. This was so easy to make. Prepped everything in advance & all I had to do was put it together and bake. Will Make again..very very soon!

The crepes were wonderful! Do not change the crepes' recipe!! So easy to make. Didn't have enough parsley so I used spinach instead.

I think Mrs.Napolitano also added basil to the meat sauce, right? It's not in the recipe. Did they leave anything out of the cheese filling? I hope Cooking Channel will update so the recipe is accurate. Five stars for Mrs. Napolitano but zero stars for cooking channel editors on this one.

So I informed Cooking Channel that the above recipe is NOT correct and will soon update to reflect the true recipe.

Now with that being said I had DVR'd this episode of MGR and approximated the blender technique of this recipe (add the tomatoes, onion and garlic to a blender and liquify until smooth, then add this mixture to the pot with the browned beef and mushrooms Ya know what, these manicotti are crazy good. Seriously, the sauce is thick, meaty and delicious and is now my new go-to pasta sauce recipe. Oh, I did have to tweak the crepe recipe as well since the batter from this recipe is far to thick. So by adding 1/4 c.of additional milk the batter was thin enough to make the crepes quite easily.

This would have 5 stars if the posted recipe was correct. Sounds like they are on it though. :
