So I informed Cooking Channel that the above recipe is NOT correct and will soon update to reflect the true recipe.
Now with that being said I had DVR'd this episode of MGR and approximated the blender technique of this recipe (add the tomatoes, onion and garlic to a blender and liquify until smooth, then add this mixture to the pot with the browned beef and mushrooms Ya know what, these manicotti are crazy good. Seriously, the sauce is thick, meaty and delicious and is now my new go-to pasta sauce recipe. Oh, I did have to tweak the crepe recipe as well since the batter from this recipe is far to thick. So by adding 1/4 c.of additional milk the batter was thin enough to make the crepes quite easily.
This would have 5 stars if the posted recipe was correct. Sounds like they are on it though. :
