It was okay. Maybe a bit too sweet. I like the idea about crumbling on ice cream. That might work or on a salad. Alone it was a little much.

We found we needed an extra 5 minutes in the 350F oven to get the crispy bacon we prefer. This was my first time cooking bacon in the oven, and I loved the hands off approach which allowed me to focus more on the rest of the breakfast/brunch - definitely the way I will make bacon from now on.
I added 2T of agave syrup to the maple syrup because I remember Symon adding honey to his recipe.

Didn't Michael & Lizzie add a little honey to the maple syrup so the pecans would stick better? We did slices with and without the honey, and the ones with the little honey (1 TBS were better because it made the syrup thicker.
Delicious recipe, but *please* Cooking Channel (and Food Network, make sure the recipes listed here match what's shone in the episode!

We made this after watching Michael and Lizzie. We did add a bit of kosher salt. It was great! Especially when we crumbled it over vanilla ice cream. Sweet and Savory.
