The quality of the crab meat is obviously essential!! Buy the best jumbo lump meat you can find. One reviewer wrote they felt this dish was missing something. At first I did too. However, if you make this and let it sit to develop the flavors for at least an hour it comes together quite nicely. I also roasted asparagus in a cast iron skillet in the oven and used champagne vinegar in my poaching liquid. I also made Michael's bacon with chopped pecans, maple syrup and honey and toasted whole grain English muffins and served this for new years day brunch. it's a holiday and everyday hit. Perfect for brunch, lunch and even dinner served with a lightly dressed mesclun salad on the side if you want salad greens too.

Saw this episode and went to fish market for lump crab. Made it and it is every bite as good as it seemed it would be. One of our sons stopped by for brunch and said he would be happy to eat this every time he comes over for breakfast. Easy to make; followed the recipe and very happy with the result "as is". Another winner from Michael Symon!

This was okay. It's missing something. Hmmm...Still enjoyed, though :

Oh my. This was soooo good. I omitted the cherry tomato - just didn't seem like it belonged, but maybe I am wrong about that. Also I only added a bit of olive oil. With the citrus juice it was pretty wet. It was amazingly delicious!
